This essential 4 hour course will guide through what you need to have on your CV to get your first NHS job and beyond. We will go through some example CVs of doctors at different stages of training to give you an idea of how to plan your career. We will cover the key targets to get into specialty training and talk about each component of your CV building needs. We will discuss how to present your CV, how to structure it, how to focus on the relevant content. Importantly we will focus on how to get teaching, leadership, research and management experience to stand your CV our amongst the crowd.

How to Get Involved in Research
How to Get Involved in Research
Led by an experienced senior NHS Doctor with extensive research experience; we offer a Group Workshop on how to get involved in research as an IMG. We start off at the basics covering how to find the opportunities out there, how to lead on an audit/QIP, the basic stats you need to know, ethical approval, key mistakes to avoid, how to get published and much more. We also discuss how to get involved in an NHS research career and discuss the pathways you can access.
Following the Tutorial we also offer a 1 to 1 coaching service to support you for any research initiatives, QIPs or case reports that you may be planning.
